Inverlonan Estates Booking Terms & Conditions

Payment

Payment for bookings can be made via our online booking system or by Credit or Debit Card. Unfortunately, we cannot accept payment by cheque in advance or onsite.

The full cost of the stay is payable at the time of booking - wer can make exceptions.

Prices 

The prices advertised are accurate at the time of booking. Prices can move up or down and Inverlonan Estates reserves the right to do so. Customers are advised to check the website for the most up to date information including our latest promotions, deals and discounts. The prices are based on a daily rate unless otherwise stated. Prices include VAT at the current prevailing rate.

Prices do not include any additional services, features and facilities unless expressly stated.

Promotions, deals or discounted offers are provided at the discretion of Inverlonan Estates. All offers are subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount and may be withdrawn at any time. Retrospective refunds are not permitted against any offer or promotion advertised after such time a booking is made.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation made by the customer for any reason must be made in writing (by letter or email) directly to Inverlonan Estates, Strontoiller, Glen Lonan, Oban, PA34 4QE.

From your stay date.

90 + days - Full Refund

90 to 30 days - 50%*

30 - stay date - No Refund

*We will do our best to fill your dates in this circumstance. If we do we will offer a Full Refund.

If you leave early for any reason Inverlonan Estates will not issue any refund for unused nights.

If you request to change the date of your stay we reserve the right to apply our cancellation policy above - where appropriate.

Unfortunately, in some circumstances, Inverlonan Estates may have to cancel your booking. In these circumstances, we will offer you a full refund of any fees paid or the option of an alternative date. No other compensation is available.

If you want to amend your booking, you must notify Inverlonan Estates within 6 weeks of your arrival date. Based on availability and the request Inverlonan Estates will do their best to accommodate any changes but cannot guarantee this.

We strongly advise that guests take out a travel insurance policy 

Services, Features, and Facilities -

Our website confirms all the services we provide and the local area offers.

Inverlonan Estates offers outdoor showers, eco-toilets, outdoor cooking, fire pits, hiking, wild swimming and a wood-fired sauna. We also provide canoes and paddleboards for our guests to use on the loch. 

We can also provide information about local activities and offers, which can be booked directly with the providers.

You use these services, features, and facilities at your own risk and Inverlonan Estates shall have no responsibility for loss, damage or injury in relation to any services, features or facilities provided or supplied by us or third parties.

Information about features, facilities, and services, is, to the best of our knowledge and belief, accurate at the time of publication, however, Inverlonan Estates cannot guarantee that these services, features, and facilities will be available during your holiday.

All information on the Website regarding pricing is accurate as at the time of publication but may be subject to change. 

Arrival & Departure

Guests are welcome to check-in at 4:00 pm.

Late check-ins (after 6pm) will incur a fee of £35.

So that the property can be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for the next arrival, departure time is 10:30 am. 

Occupancy

The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stated on the booking.

Information about you

By providing us with your personal information you consent to our processing your data for our own in house data analysis. We will only use the information that you provide to us for the purposes contemplated in these Terms, informing you about similar services which we provide (unless you tell us that you do not want to receive this information) and improving the services which we offer to customers.

Our online booking and payment systems which store your data are password encrypted to protect your personal information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, and damage. We may retain your personal information after we have ceased using it for the purposes set out in these Terms, or for as long as the law requires.

Care of Property

Guests are asked to leave the property clean and tidy. Accidents happen, we ask that any breakages or damage (accidental or otherwise) should be reported immediately to Inverlonan Estate. Failure to do this may result in you being charged for any breakages or damage. Any missing inventory from the property on your departure will be charged. 

Fireworks

Fireworks are not permitted. 

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in any of our properties and a flat fee of £250.00 will be charged to cover any cleaning expenses if there is any smoking within the property. 

Internet Access

There is no wifi. We encourage guests to disconnect to reconnect. 

Mobile Phones

There is some mobile phone signal at the bothies.

Open Fire & Wood Burners

Each of our bothies is supplied with logs, firelighters, and kindling (replenished free of charge, just get in touch if you need more during your stay).

Dogs

Dogs are not currently allowed on site - other than Beatha.

Liability

Inverlonan Estates will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to guests’ personal property vehicles etc. whilst visiting Inverlonan. 

Noise

Excessive noise or partying will not be tolerated and will result in ejection from the property. 

Keys

There will be a £25.00 charge should a guest lose or damage keys. Failure to return keys on departure could also incur the same charge. 

The Site

The site must be returned in the same state it was found. If Inverlonan Estates staff are required to do additional cleaning above and beyond regular site cleaning and changeovers you will be charged additional cleaning fees.

The site has open water, high drops and rugged terrain which represent potential hazards. It is your responsibility to behave with due care and consideration on-site at all times. Inverlonan Estates will not be held liable for any damage or injury caused on site due to risky or reckless behaviour.

As the person booking the stay, you are responsible for the behaviour of all members of the party whilst on the site.

Any wilful damage to the site or any other Inverlonan Estates property will result in you being asked to immediately leave the site. If you are asked to leave under these circumstances, no monies will be refunded.

Our customers visit Inverlonan to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the natural rugged environment. If anyone does not respect this, the site Manager and their team reserve the right to refuse them admission or ask them to leave the site at any time. If you are asked to leave under these circumstances, no monies will be refunded.

To respect the enjoyment of others, we ask that noise levels are kept to a minimum after 10:30 pm. No music is allowed on site after 10.30 pm. Fire pits are permitted in the areas detailed on-site. These are to be used with caution by yourself and your guests. Fire safety information will be provided on-site and must be adhered to at all times.

You are responsible for the property and are expected to take all reasonable care of its furniture, pictures, fittings, and effects, in or on the property. You must leave them in the same state of repair and the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning. You undertake the leave the property secure if left unoccupied during the period of let. You must not use the properties for any dangerous or offensive activities.

Power

Our renewable power supply may occasionally have a power cut. In the case of such an event you will be kept informed by our team and we will endeavor to make you as comfortable as possible, however, no compensation will be payable. It is all part of the off-grid bothy experience.

Circumstances beyond the control of Inverlonan Estates - (Force Majeure) 

If for any reason we have to cancel your booking in advance due to circumstances beyond our control for example fire, flood, exceptional weather conditions, epidemics, destruction/damage to the property (“force majeure “) you will be refunded the full amount of the booking. 

If we have to terminate your stay early for the above reasons you will be refunded part of the booking fee based on the time remaining of the booking. This will be the full extent of the liability of Inverlonan Estates. No additional compensation, expenses or costs will be payable. 

Gift Vouchers

  • Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. 

  • Vouchers are priced at £260 per night (standard high season rate £280) with a minimum stay of 2 nights.

  • Inverlonan Estates does not offer refunds for vouchers.

  • Vouchers must be redeemed within the period of voucher validity. 

  • Vouchers are only redeemable for Inverlonan Bothies stays including Inverlonan provisions and in-bothy purchases.

  • Vouchers may not be used for the marketing of any other brands or businesses without written approval by Inverlonan Estates.

  • It is the purchaser’s responsibility ensure that the recipient of the voucher is aware of the Terms & Conditions that apply to the voucher.

  • Multiple vouchers may be redeemed in the same transaction up to the value of the stay being purchased.

  • Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Expired vouchers will be treated as void and are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

  • Vouchers cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with your legal rights.

  • The guest is free to request their preferred date within the voucher validity period, however, it is dependant on availability. To avoid disappointment we recommend that guests book well in advance. Inverlonan Estates may occasionally be able to fit in a booking at short notice. We recommend booking as early as possible We strongly advise that you do not make any travel arrangements until you have received confirmation of your booking. Once a date has been booked with us your voucher will be deemed to be used at that point.

  • Extension to the voucher validity period may be considered under exceptional circumstances and will be considered on a case by case basis.

  • By purchasing a voucher you are agreeing to be bound to these Terms & Conditions.

  • VAT – All products and services shown are inclusive of VAT.
